One of the first articles I wrote for Her Campus was about the growing importance of fashion blogs. Bloggers have become so important. Anyone from anywhere can offer an opinion on designer X’s newest line, critique the hotshots in the industry, or raise an unknown talent into a fashion’s newest star (among so many other far-reaching affects you can read about in my article!)
The industry has undoubtedly responded. They’ve acknowledged bloggers (like Bryant Boy and Jane Aldridge, to name a few) and made a huge push for technology to cover all aspects of the industry—including fashion week. I’m counting down the days until I get to see what my favorite designers have been up to. And what’s especially excellent about this huge new technology push is that aspiring fashionistas, wherever they may be stranded, Pittsburgh for example, can watch shows live!
